Kenney and Hazel bought me a @shyndigzdessert Salted Caramel Chocolate cake for my birthday, complete with sparkling candles. We enjoyed a slice between emptying the attic, storage unit runs, and taking yard sale stuff over to the Sweeney’s new place. It may not have been the birthday of my dreams, but I spent it with two of my faves (plus, I’m taking a rain check for when we’re at Disney next month and all this moving nonsense is behind us). Hazel loves countdown calendars, so I knew I wanted to make one counting down to our move to the new house! I had the idea that each ring that gets torn off the chain would be one step up the “sidewalk” toward a simple yellow house. And then this happened 😂 Hazel did tell me at one point, “mommy, you know it doesn’t have to be perfect, right?” 🤣 Now to make the links!
