Around 9:30, the bedroom lit up in red, so we ventured out to find out what was going on. We came out just in time to watch a fire truck fly by dropping hose along our entire road. There were at least two fire trucks and two fire suvs. We found out that the neighbor across the street that is remodeling their house (for 4+ months) either left a propane heater on or the workers left it on to speed up drying time of some work done today and it caught on fire. So scary!

Hazel drew me a picture- I’m the one on the left, she’s on the right. She made sure to point out that she gave us fingernails with polish 💅🏻 We’re going to the candy store (on the left) 🍭 and there’s a rainbow above us! 🌈 She told me she ran out of time to add Daddy because I came to pick her up. 🙎🏻♂️💗

I was taken aback when I looked at this meal Hazel cut out and put together- it’s so representative of our family meals. ✅ pasta ✅ chocolate cake ✅ Stella Rosa wine! 🍷 I can’t believe she found and picked out the exact wine brand Kenney and I most frequently drink! 😂

I took this photo of Hazel standing on one side of a rickety bridge on a playset just moments before an older boy- maybe 7 years old- walks up to the other side. He sees her there- scared to cross. He approaches her cautiously and reaches out his hand to her, whispering “it’s ok, I’ve got you”. Then he wraps his arms around her, lifts her up, and carries her to the other side. Guys. My baby was literally swept off her feet for the first time, and I got to see it. 😭🥰😍

This face is the face of a girl who got halfway down a twisty slide, stopped, and after her father tried to get her to keep moving so other kids could slide, she looked at us and said, “but I want to tell a story” as she lounged over the rail and settled in like she had a long tale to share. She’s always keeping us laughing!
